Snow and Heavy Rains in Most Syrian Cities




(SANA)- Most Syrian cities have witnessed snow fall over the past 24 hours. Snow thickness reached 1 m in Irneh in Damascus Countryside, 15 cm in al-Sweida city, 12 cm in Slunfeh in Lattakia, and heavy rains fell in most areas.
Meteorology Department on Wednesday expected snow fall over most areas and the weather will be cloudy to rainy in the coastal regions.
The temperatures will drop to be below annual average to vary between 5 to 7 degrees.
The weather forecast of the Meteorology Department pointed out that weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy to cloudy and snow fall will continue  over the mountains and the eastern region.
The weather will become more stable afternoon and in the evening. Temperatures will be below the annual average between 5 to 8 degrees.

Metrology Department on Wednesday evening expected  snow fall will continue over the mountains and the internal regions.
The temperature will drop to be below annual average as the country is influenced by law pressure  accompanied by north western winds in the upper atmosphere.
