Gays are spreading

What a surprise!! We are in Islamic country which told daily that the Islamic values are respected. Iam talking about one of the gulf countries who gays are spreading in it or another word appear from their hidden undergrounds. In above picture, a man in a traditional cloth makes up himself in a stand of make ups in one of the most famous supermarket in the country. I catched him. He leaned to the right and left to secure himself from people's curiosity. By chance I photo him and kept it to publish it later to form a kind of an open forum about this phenomenon. The picture is not so clear to know the man or to make a scandal for him. The Zoom of the camera I used made it unclear enough. The distance from where I took the photo was too far; however, I succeeded in taking it. Give me your opinion please.

ReplyDeleteMustafa .. are you SURE you're talking about GAYS? I am asking this question because USUALLY gays do NOT wear any make up ect ... who is known to do that, are transvestites OR transsexuals! I dare to make this statement because I worked in my capacity as ICU-RN with AIDS-people in Califoria (doing IV-therapy ect.) and guess I can say I do know them QUITE well! At least the ones I met and took care of did NOT do that (nor did their friends!)!
ReplyDeleteOne can think about gays the way he/she wants but it was PROVEN only lately that homosexuality is depending on a certain gene and NOT, the way it was originally thought, a "different kind of love!" I am aware the Qur'an does not allow it - nor does the bible!

ReplyDeleteokay, i see that ur living in damascus, and understand and grasp the culture (if ur new) and i need help. See, the thing is i need to get a better "look" at damascus, and its people.
Im planning on doing my studies in syria rather then here in toronto(can), want to see the world, and have a strong passion for middle east.
Dude, i need to know if damascus uni is a good school, if its really cheap, as they say.
If they'll accept me to enter in their programs with only my High school diploma? Or do they accpet previous uni/college students? How are they to international students?
how is damascus' night life? How are the people, do they unerstand a little bit of english? Are they nice, and accepting? How's downtown damascus, is it foreigner friendly? Is there a politic tension up there? trust, me i love dams, but i need to get a locals perspective, if you know what i mean?
Dude, is it better for me to stay here in toronto, then to go to Dams, educational wise?
How are the teachers, do they all know english well, or do they teach in arabic? i heard that they teach in arabic, english and french, is that true?
Is it safe to walk around past sunset? How are the young syrians? They're not westernized, eh? (tryna run from that, down here) Do the young population know english, and will i fit right in, considering my way of lifestyle?

ReplyDeleteit is only for discussion.by chance i took this picture. you can say your opinion and others can say also. It is a way to imrove our knowledge in this world. Were u thinking before that those people are spreading in such conservative societies.

That's just what I am saying - it is the result of a rather new study (I just heard recently about) conducted in the States and to tell you the truth, did surprise me as well! The "result" is flawed though, you are right, and after I just read @ "islamOnline", which deals in a very open and realistic way with this issue, I gained some more insight. condem them ... I think it's everyone's own responsibility. Each individual will stand one day in front of our creator ...

You are right - it is for discussion and by that we do improve our knowledge, acceptance as well toerance of others and I want to believe as well compassion!
What I wrote is true - gays do NOT put make up ect ... these trades belong to the other two categories of sex-deviation I mentioned!

Thanks for the article. It was indeed interesting. I would also like to add to my earlier post to you that the theory that there is a "gay gene" puts bi-sexuals in an ackward position. As far as I can see, homosexuality is clearly a matter of choice that people take or leave according to their whims and wants.
Putting that aside, I've read several of your posts and I'm really confused on your stance towards Islam. Please forgive me for asking, but you previously said on theCaller's blog that 'you are a Muslim'. At the time, I took it as a statement of sympathy rather than an actual truth. However, time and again your posts show that I might be wrong...? Again I apologise for asking and if it's too personal just ignore it with no hard feelings at all.

ReplyDeleteTo say I feel VERY close to Islam, MUCH closer than to the religion I grew up with - CAN not be a statement of sympathy, it MUST be the truth! I would NEVER play with Islam! I do think about MANY issues in Muslim terms, I feel this religion represents what I was looking for - and I am learning ... Sara for example, the caller and as we Abed and a number of others did help me a lot to find answers to my countless questions!
I do feel I am Muslim, yes - but I want to be able and take the time to "grow", to learn, to find out, to read the Qur'an ... it is a process which can not be finished at the snap of a finger but something very serious, something which means a WHOLE LOT to me!
Will you kindly elaborate what made you wonder? I'll happily revert to you with the answers!

well, saying the salam, starting your earlier post with the name of Allah, your general knowledge about Islam is certainly above the average of that of a non-Muslims, the relationships you establish with Muslims, alot of things really.
Now as for the seriousness of the issue, it is indeed serious. You're a good person and I think you know quite a bit about Islam. Put down all your doubt, make sure you know what they are and try to get them cleared up. As serious and as important that you must think about this issue carefully, as important as you must get it over with as soon as possible. Death is outside our control and what's more, we do not know when it will come.
Every soul will taste death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion. (aal Umran:185)
I do apologise for turning it quite gruesome, Islam is very bright and beautiful, but reading so many of your comments I really see no reason why you're still on that slippery slope and haven't taken the pledge of faith yet.
Do not expect to learn everything about Islam at this stage. I was born a Muslim and everytime I learn something new I realise how much more there is to learn.

Thanks for complimenting me .. I do not feel I know a lot about Islam - the more I read or find out, the more I realize how MUCH I am still missing! I may know a bit more than the average non-Muslim ... but am only at the beginning of studying!! I am aware, death could come at any time - you didn't turn it ANY gruesome!

if someone is gay what's the freakin' problem, gays have been around for as long as history remebers, it's not some new "evil". just let people be...
and if u're thinking i'm gay, well guess again, i'm straight but i'm just sick of people judging people by their sexual prference
The man may be transvestite, not gay. These are not the same thing.
